The work "Tell me I'm manly, tell me I'm pretty" shows images of the male body and questions the stereotypical and not very flexible representation of the male body in contemporary photography, social media and advertising. Based on bodybuilding photographs from the 1950s and 1960s, the work raises the question of which body is perceived as beautiful and why this beauty only exists in contrast to or in relation to a very rigid ideal that is increasingly becoming a visual norm.
